For tent camping, there are both electrical and non-electrical sites you can choose. You can have up to five people per site, with one car allowed for overnight parking. Pets are also allowed at the tent campsites for $5 per night. RV campsites can accommodate RVs, campers, and trailers up to 40 feet in length.
All campsites are equipped with a fire pit and picnic table.

At Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, 189 total RV and tent campsites are located along the Big Sur River. You likely won’t have any luck if you’re thinking of snagging a campsite at the last minute. Campsites are reserved up to six months in advance. Standard campsites are $35 per night, while riverfront campsites are $50 per night.
Each campsite includes enough parking for one car, a fire pit, and a picnic table. There is a limit of six people per individual site. Group campsites are available for groups of 9 to 50, with a nightly fee of $150.
There are no electrical hookups at any of the campsites, but there are flushable toilets and coin-operated showers on the property.

Kirk Creek Campground has 33 standard, non-electric campsites that tent campers and RVs can use. The nightly rate is $35 and can accommodate two vehicles with eight total guests. Each campsite includes a campfire ring with a grill and a picnic table. There are also vault toilets located throughout the campground.

Limekiln State Park is located 52 miles south of Carmel and is open all year long. There are 29 total campsites. Lots 17 through 29 are tent campsites only, and lots one and two require a four-wheel-drive vehicle to access them. All lots are $35 per night to rent and can hold a maximum number of eight guests and two vehicles per site.
For RV campsites, an RV must not exceed 24 feet, and a trailer must not exceed 15 feet. The time for check-in is 2:00 PM, and the time for check-out is noon. There are picnic tables, showers, and bathrooms located throughout the campground.

Plasket Creek Campground has 40 individual campsites and three group campsites. The individual campsites can accommodate six people and one vehicle, while the group campsites can accommodate 40 people and 10 vehicles. Individual campsites are $35 per night, and group campsites are $150 per night.
Each campsite has a picnic table, a campfire ring, and a grill. There are no utility hookups available; however, flushable toilets, running sinks, and drinking water are provided throughout the campground.
