10 Best Slingshots (Reviewed)

February 16, 2021/Riley Draper Table of Contents

Slingshots are the most underrated hunting tool in the world. We tend to think of slingshots as something for children. We think they’re weak and their range is subpar. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Slingshots have come a long way since the classic stick with a rubber band. Slingshots now have sights and springs. You can find solid steel slingshots with wooden accents, wolves bound in rope, and wrist support to counterbalance the force of pulling back the bands on your high-tech slingshot. Leave behind the idea that slingshots are simple and lackluster. Find yourself one with a laser sight and take it out next time you go camping, you’re going to love what you find.

In a hurry? Here’s the test winner after 10 hours of research:

1. RCZZSUWE Professional Hunting Shooting Slingshots

[amazon box=”B07SGKDRQG”]

This slingshot is good-looking and powerful. The scopes on the arms take a little getting used to, but once you’re comfortable with them you’ll wonder how you ever got along without them. This slingshot takes flat bands, which some will say are some of the best bands for slingshots. You’re going to have a great time drawing these bands back, and after you’ve worn out the bands that come out of the box, you can switch them out pretty easily.

Installing new bands is simple, the arms just need a little coaxing with a screwdriver, and you can clamp down a new set of your favorite flat bands in under five minutes. If you’re out camping and you need to make a quick change, or you’re just not the type that likes maintenance when it overstays its welcome, this quick and intuitive install makes this slingshot a great choice.

The grip of the slingshot is akin to a perfectly crafted knife. It’s made from a single piece of metal that extends all the way through the slingshot. The wood here is a luxury addition making it comfortable and the additional support makes it incredibly sturdy so your shots will fly far and true.

PROS

  • Solid construction
  • Sleek wooden construction is eye-catching and sturdy

CONS

  • Not a lot of customization options

Our Winner

[amazon table=”21559″]

This slingshot is excellent from top to bottom. The flat bands that this slingshot takes are great for precision and accuracy. They’re easy to switch out and they’re perfect for launching projectiles of all sorts. Of course, the ammunition you’re supplied with out of the box is an excellent fit, but if you’re out in the wilderness on a camping trip or caught with your pouch empty, you can improvise with nearly anything you can find, and the flat bands will abide.

The grip of the slingshot is one of the best parts of this incredible slingshot. The grip is made with two well-carved pieces of wood flanking a solid piece of steel. If you’ve ever owned a high-end knife you’ll know how much this increases the stability and durability of your equipment. In this case, you’re going to be getting stronger and longer draw lengths. The only thing that could improve on this beautiful and sturdy slingshot would be a wrist support, but we don’t believe that’s enough to be a dealbreaker in the face of everything else this slingshot has to offer.

Bonus Tip: If you’re curious about the versatility of a good slingshot, then this video will clear up any lingering questions you might be left with!
