    1. Privacy Pop Eclipse Bed Tent

Privacy Pop Eclipse Bed Tent - Full/Black
    • Designed to allow for simple and fast set up and take down

This Privacy Pop Bed Tent is simple, sleek, and devoid of hassle. You’ll love it’s symmetrical entry point design, meaning you’ll never accidentally set things up backward. The shape of this bed tent also means that you don’t have to worry about the shape of your bed frame. The sides here come straight up without curving uncomfortably, making for a satisfying little fort to sit in no matter where on the bed you’re most comfortable posting up. All of the sides open up as well, so you can have the open-air creature comfort of an uncovered bed without having to go through the process of taking the bed tent down. When you shut all of the flaps, it’s dark all around coverage makes for comfortable deep sleep no matter what the light conditions are outside of your little tent home.

Privacy Pop’s Eclipse Bed Tent is utilitarian and comfortable. The mesh leaves you able to breathe easily, and the inclusion of double-sided zippers means that you’ll never find yourself trapped in a cozy cocoon of your own creation.

If you’re looking for something with absolutely zero fuss that’s perfectly serviceable and capable of keeping you in the dark no matter what, then this bed tent ticks all of those boxes with aplomb.

    PROS

    • Simple design and easy to set up
    • Great for blocking out light

    2. Alvantor Bed Canopy Tents

Alvantor Bed Canopy Tents Dream Privacy Space Queen Size Sleeping Tents Indoor Pop Up Portable Frame Curtains Breathable Grey Cottage (Mattress Not Included) Reducing Light
    • ♥Upgraded 2-in-1 BED TENT Patent Pending construction. Double side-door design for easier access. No collapsed, no bent, no leans off, no unstable, no metal frame and no ripped. Pop up flexible ribs...

The Alvantor bed tent comes in several different sizes, it even has an option specifically for ensuring a fit on most bunk beds. If you need options then Alvantor has your back.

This tent doesn’t open up all the way on every side the same way some other cylindrical bed tents will, but they trade that ability for more stability in the center. An extra rib in the center of the Alvantor provides a bit more ceiling space by ensuring the top of your tent doesn’t sag no matter what your setup is.

Hooks and pockets inside of the tent allow you to store trinkets, little lamps, and necessities inside of your bed tent without having to worry about whether something will slip down into an awkward mattress crevasse. If you’re traveling with your bed tent, this means you can keep valuables nearby for some simple peace of mind.

    PROS

    • Comes with a built-in floor, so you can set this tent up separate from your mattress as well
    • Great for blocking out light and ensuring privacy

    CONS

    • Angles of entry may be awkward

    3. Besten Floorless Indoor Privacy Tent

The Besten Floorless Indoor Privacy Tent has lamp hooks all around the inside and outside of the tent if you’re feeling decorative or a little scared of the dark. You’ll find lots of room for fairy lights, photos, and lamps. Pouches in the tent make for easy placement of phones and tablets for folks trying to get a little streaming on their platform of choice before bed. If you’re setting this tent up at home, and you’ve got a television in your bedroom, then you can whip open the sides for an unobstructed view.

This bed tent is great for privacy if you’re sharing a room. If you’re looking for some alone time, but you’re looking to keep out the cold air or block a nasty draft, this Besten privacy tent will shield you from the (indoor) elements.

    4. DDASUMI Warm Tent

DDASUMI Warm Tent for Double Bed without Floor (Pink) - Blocking Cold air, Privacy, Play Indoor Tent
    119 Reviews
DDASUMI Warm Tent for Double Bed without Floor (Pink) - Blocking Cold air, Privacy, Play Indoor Tent
    • Indoor Warm Tent - Cold air blocking, Keeping inside warm air, Saving Heating Cost

The DDASUMI bed tent is built with comfort in mind. If you find yourself constantly battling the chill in your rooms, then here’s a tent for you. The DDASUMI bed tent takes a great deal of the design principles you find in outdoor camping tents and applies them to this bed tent, making for a comfortable indoor environment.

This tent is treated with waterproof material specifically to repel humidity by discouraging condensation on the inside while trapping the heat you want inside. If you’re setting up shop during the warmer months, the several configurations for ventilation will keep you shuttered away from the world outside of the tent and keep air moving at all times. All of this combined with the mesh windows on top of the tent makes for a breathable environment while inside of this spacious tent.

The poles provided for setting this tent up are also quite sturdy. Once you’ve set up your bed tent you won’t have to keep yourself sitting as still as possible to prevent the tent from rattling around on your bed frame. If you decide to set up on the floor with a collection of pillows and blankets, you can rest easy knowing that the support here doesn’t come from being weighed down with a mattress.

    PROS

    • Great for in-home use
    • Easy to set up, take down, and store
    • A simple fix for a drafty room
    • Spacious on the inside due to the vaulted shape

    CONS

    • Traveling with this bed tent is awkward

    5. Onnetila Bed Tent

Onnetila Bed Tent Privacy Canopy Bed Tents Sleep Pod Dream Tents for Toddlers Bed Shelter Pop Up Queen Size for Kids and Adult (Gary)
    • HAVE PRIVACY - This bed tent is a perfect solution to block out light in the daytime and to provide a warm, safe privacy space at night for you and your kids. This Sleep Pod is prefect for college...

Mattresses come in all shapes and sizes. Queen beds come in the same general dimensions, but once you’re fitting a bed tent around the tiny lips of the mattress, or fitting a rod around the rounded corners of a different bed every few days, you’ll start noticing the minuscule details and resenting beds all around the world for it.

This is the problem that the Onnetila Bed Tent sets out to solve with its fitting straps, pole caps, and pole pouches. This bed tent is great if you’re tired of bed tents that don’t quite fit right or if you’re purchasing your first bed tent and you’re looking to avoid that frustration outright.

The Onnetila bed tent doesn’t add this feature to the detriment of other common bed tent features. You’ll find hooks for lanterns, pockets for phones and other little tools you may have brought along, and the simple privacy of a tent that closes up tight and shuts out the light.

    PROS

    • Great for fitting over any mattress
    • Cozy and chock full of all of the comforts of any bed tent on the market

    CONS

    • Doesn’t pack up as compactly as other bed tents

    6. DDASUMI Fabric Tent

Sometimes we forget that utility doesn’t always equal comfort. If you’re looking for a private space to erect around your bed, you probably don’t want it to be made out of fiberglass and mesh, maybe you’re looking for something a little bit more comfortable. You’re going to be spending a lot of time in here after all, right?

DDASUMI thought of this and there’s a bed tent for you too, comfort seeker. This tent is made from a breathable cotton textile that keeps you warm in chilly rooms, traps the heat you want it to, and isn’t a loud synthetic sheet stretched over a set of flexible poles. This bed tent is more like a cozy little home. It’s full of little pockets for storing snacks or warm socks, a smart touch shelf for setting up tablets, and a mesh shelf that stretches across your tent ceiling for easy access to anything else you can imagine bringing along with you into your private cozy central headquarters.

    PROS

    • Comfortable above anything else
    • Machine washable

    CONS

    • If you’re taking it to a lot of different places it may become dirtier with use than bed tents made out of easier to clean materials.
    • Not great in the portability department

    7. Goplus Bed Tent

    Sale
Goplus Bed Tent, Indoor Privacy Play Tent for Warm and Cozy Sleep in Drafty Rooms, Portable Bed Canopy with Carry Bag for Kids and Adult(Full)
    • 【Creative Private Space】For both adults and kids, this indoor tent is an ideal solution to avoid the inconvenience of sharing a room with others. It can block light during the day and provide you...

If you’re one for flair, this Goplus tent will fit into your sense of decor in a snap. The purple and white starry night atmosphere it brings upon setup is an excellent fit for adults that are young at heart. Growing older doesn’t mean growing blander, and if you’d like to keep your spirit alive when you zip up for the night, or if you’re just looking for a space to sequester yourself for some silent reflection, then go for the Goplus.

Breakdown and setup are a snap with the Goplus Bed Tent, and it comes with an equally vibrant carrying bag, so you’ll never really have to go without your Goplus gem.

    PROS

    • A fun alternative to monochrome bed tents
    • Foldable and easy to travel with
    • Resilient polyester fabric will hold up to rowdy tent inhabitants, or lots of pointy art supplies

    CONS

    • A little on the flashy side, so not for the faint of heart

    8. Privacy Pop Bed Tent

Privacy Pop Bed Tent (Queen) - Blue
    • Designed to allow for simple and fast set up and take down

If the Privacy Pop Eclipse is too drab for you, or if it seems like its inward sloping ceiling will be a bit too cramped, then this offering from Privacy Pop will cure your woes.

This tent features a more convex rectangular shape, that gives you a little bit more headroom than the Eclipse. It only fully opens on two of its sides, but the head and foot areas still unzip towards the top to allow for ventilation if you’re feeling a bit stuffy at night. The tent is also designed to hold the flaps neatly towards the top when you’re leaving your sides open, creating an inviting space for the folks you’re sharing the room with, and allowing you to keep yourself open to the world without leaving fabric dangling over the side of your bed.

    PROS

    • Spacious without being intrusive
    • Roll-up doors
    • Excellent for privacy as their brand name suggests
    • Fits easily in a storage bag

    CONS

    • Rounded corners might make for awkward fits on some mattresses

    9. Dream Tent Bed Tents

Bed Tent Dream Tents Bed Canopy Shelter Cabin Indoor Privacy Warm Breathable Pop Up Twin Size for Kids and Adult Patent Pending PitchBlack(Mattress Not Included)
    • ✪Patent Pending construction - Four doors and two windows design for easier access. No collapsed, no bent, no leans off, no unstable, no metal frame and no ripped. Pop up flexible ribs frame make it...

This isn’t Dream Tent’s first rodeo. After taking some time to reevaluate the shortcomings of their previous bed tent excursion, Dream Tents has stitched together a much more comfortable bed tent experience.

This bed tent is the stuff of dreams. The tent itself is made of a high-quality increased durability pongee fabric. You don’t see a lot of tent beds made out of this stuff, but we wish you did. Pongee combines the best of nylon and cotton, it’s comfortable and durable while staying light and elastic. This fabric means that you’ll never be uncomfortable in your bed tent, which is the biggest stumbling block when picking out a bed tent. Putting an enclosure over your mattress is a delicate operation, and Dream Tent seems to have taken that into consideration and come out of the planning phase with something unique and more than just serviceable.

    PROS

    • Easy to set up and break down
    • Travels well
    • Unique fabric choice makes it more comfortable than similar-looking bed tents

    CONS

    • If you’re concerned with the aesthetics your bed tent will add to your room, this one is a bit on the plain side

    10. DalosDream Bed Canopy

DalosDream Bed Canopy Privacy Tents Bed Tent Shelter Queen Size Indoor Pop Up Portable Frame Curtains Cozy Sleeping Tents with Floor Mat(Mattress Not Included)
    • HAVE SOME PRIVACY. For Both Adults and Children, It is a Great solution when sharing a room with others. (Dorm, Siblings' room, etc.) Give this tent to your children and they will go to bed on time,...

This lovely little bed tent is as comfortable as it is easy to use. Its floorless design means you can just slide in the poles and jam the tent right over your already existing mattress. If you were worried about having to lift your cumbersome mattress and jiggle it into a narrow bed tent, then fret no longer.

If you’re finding yourself in places with lots of bugs in the air at night, be it a lot-cost hostel with the windows open, or a dorm room with a pest problem, this bed tent has plenty of bug-proof mosquito nets protecting you from the creepy crawlies that may try to disturb your slumber. The fiberglass rods are sturdy and light if you’re planning on taking this down and setting it up often, there are narrow cord access points for charging your phone at night, and pockets galore for those phones to rest in if you’re worried about oversleeping since this tent blocks out light so well.

    PROS

    • Attractive aesthetics
    • Sturdy and pragmatic
    • Easy to set up with straps and floorless design allowing you to attach it over a bed without having to lift the entire mattress

    CONS

    • No floor means you’re not going to have as much success setting this up without a mattress to secure it to
    • Not as compact after break down as its cylindrical counterparts

Sleeping is all about comfort, if you’re hot and covered in sweat, or shivering from a persistent breeze, you’re going to suffer in the morning. The Dream Tent Bed Tent is our pick for the bed tent that will lend you the most comfort for your dollar.

It’s a simple setup, it travels well, and its unique fabric means you’re not going to be trading ease of use and cleanliness for comfort. It’s built with a floor, so you can set it up on a bed and rest easy knowing that your tent isn’t going to slip out from underneath you after you’ve set it up on a bed, and if you’re going to be doing some indoor camping with the kids or looking for an indoor tent for the treehouse, it makes for some simple indoor tent playtime without having to upheave an entire full-size mattress.

Do You Need a Bed Tent?

Bed tents are a versatile product that you’ll never grow tired of. They’ll bombard you with use cases as soon as you open up your mind to their possibilities. If you’ve got a non-traditional work schedule bed tents are excellent for blocking out daylight and isolating you from the world to allow for some midday sleeping. If you’re doing the ol’ college backpacking trip across the European countryside and you find yourself stuffed into hostels with a dozen other sightseers, then bed tents will create a little slice of home while you’re away. If you’ve got some kids looking for a play tent at home, they make for a great night in. You can grab some glow in the dark stars and create your own constellations or s’mores indoors, your imagination is the limit.

You can take them on a camping trip as well. If you’re group camping folks will bring along massive tents to share, and if you had the foresight to bring along an air mattress, and you really want the privacy, then a bed tent can turn a ten-person tent into a ten-person home. Bed tents don’t tend to arch towards the ceiling indoors, so if you can grab some dimensions ahead of time, there’s a good chance you can erect a couple of walls for yourself once you’re outdoors.

Bonus tip: Sometimes what you need in order to reset is a quaint little indoor camping trip. Watch as this family shows us how to get down and dirty in the great indoors!
